Yasmin Naqvi is a Legal Officer in the Office of the Legal Adviser of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Previously, she served as a Legal Officer in Chambers of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, the Investigations Division of the International Criminal Court, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Law Department of the Graduate Institute of International Studies, and as a legal consultant to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Yasmin holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Public International Law from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, and BA and LLB (Honours) degrees from the University of Tasmania, Australia. She is a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania. Yasmin has published widely on international humanitarian law, terrorism and international criminal law, including International Humanitarian Law and Terrorism (co-authored with Andrea Bianchi) (Oxford: Hart Publishing, 2011).
